  • For those who might be wondering, no I don’t wear real fur or leather in my shoots. #RestAssured ======================== Meet Ms. Ákínmádé at 45… #VirgoSeason My birthday was in August but I digress… In my native Yòrubá, we often say that the sky is big enough for all birds to fly. We were made to soar in different ways with the unique gifts we’ve all been given. I’m currently nursing my clipped wing back to health so I can fly once more without pain. In this new season of my life, I’m… Asking Attracting Blooming Destressing Detoxing Evolving Expanding Growing Healing Living Manifesting Nurturing Realigning Reawakening Reconnecting Rediscovering Relearning Thriving Tightening Trimming Trusting Uprooting Weeding While deepening my faith and doing it all with tenderness and gratitude. God has carried me through with grace, unwavering love, and steadfastness. Nothing short of a testimony #Grateful. To close friends and family who came with candles in the dark, thank you for holding space 🙏🏾 Last year, a dear friend told me I needed more tenderness in my life in this new season. So, it’s no coincidence that the band which buoyed me during this time has been @tenderofficialmusic . Spotify played “Belong” as a music suggestion in January and I had to find more..needed to listen to more. They probably wondered why I kept tagging their music a lot this year :-) Their lyrics are raw, real, deep, and above all, tender…. The storm has passed. Blue skies ahead. Wings spread. . . . .
