Latest News: Migration in Sweden and more articles

An important multimedia project I was involved with in partnership with Sweden’s official website, Sweden.se, was published this week. It is called “Migration in Sweden” and it’s a comprehensive in-depth analysis of emigration and immigration in Sweden over two centuries, including profiles of various migrants which I conducted and photographed. Definitely check it out. It’s one of the proudest work I’ve been involved with because of how important it is to the narrative of Sweden that is constantly evolving.

Here are other publications and interviews as well:

Honored to have contributed to BBC Travel‘s gorgeous photo essay called “50 Reasons to #LovetheWorld“. My contribution is #11.

I mean – how cool is it that Steven Tyler also contributed? Please check it out.

For NBC Today.com, I show you ways you can create your own authentic Swedish smörgåsbord using food items from IKEA’s marketplace so try it out if you live within proximity of an IKEA and no, IKEA didn’t pay me to do this. They probably should have now that I think about it…

For the United Nations (UN) Women facilitated project, Empower Women, I wrote about what being economically empowered brings to women and their communities.

Other pieces include conducting an interview in Swedish with Expedia.se which allowed me to practice my Swedish writing skills as well as interviews with Chic African and my most personal to date with Mater Mea.

  2. Absolutely proud of you. So many congratulations and an expression of how much respect experts have for your talent. I mean, you were on the same page as Sir Richard Branson. That’s got to count for something LOL!

  3. First of all congratulations Lola! I took a look at the 50 reasons to love the world and those photographs were amazing! You must be thrilled your photographed made the list.
