Finally back from a whirlwind trip to Egypt that saw us crisscrossing the desert by bike and jeep as well as sailing the Red Sea and cruising the Nile. You can read a quick summary of the trip on National Geographic Traveler‘s blog – Egypt Bike and Sail: A New Way of Experiencing Misr.
Currently sorting through 1,200+ photographs from Egypt and I’m still behind on posting the Vienna gallery but in the meantime, wanted to share a few updates.

As part of their ground-breaking ‘A Moment in Time‘ photography, my photograph shot while sailing on the Red Sea off the coast of Hurghada, Egypt was one of the editors’ picks, showcasing the project below.

Photo Book Projects
You might be wondering about the portrait of the girl above… I am working on a personal book project (the first edition will most likely be through Blurb), and this particular book (one of many ideas in the works) will focus on portraits from Nigeria and I’ll share a link to the photobook once it’s ready.
Upcoming Photo Galleries
Currently working through the final stages (i.e. contracting, photo submissions, and such) but if all goes well, I’ll have a couple slideshows on two major networks: one travel network and one news portal.
All I can do is wait…patiently.

Lola, your photos never fail to move me. Firstly – how awesome was that Egypt trip. I love being on the water so I will be eagerly awaiting the photos. And the portraits you take are my favourite. I have always felt that the spirit of a country is reflected in the eyes and faces of its people – and you always capture that. Congrats on the NY publication. You deserve it!
What a pretty little girl. I’m tired just thinking about the Egyptian excursion. Can’t wait for the pix and congrats on the photos.
