One of my dream documentary photography projects is to row across the lagoon with this little girl and see what daily life in one of the waterfront villages is like. Everyday, she along with a couple dozen students row themselves to the Ebute Lekki side to attend school.
Currently stateside across the Atlantic for a few days with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving and what I plan on doing (besides gorging on good food) is stepping back, putting life in perspective, and remaining gratefully content.
Shot with Nikon D300 in Nigeria.

@Theresa – Thanks so much and hope you had a wonderful time with family & friends.
I hope you get to fulfill this dream, because I want to see (vicariously) what life is like in one of those waterfront villages.
Happy Thanksgiving, Lola.
@Matt – Haha. Cheeky 🙂 I’m across the Atlantic with family for Thanksgiving. Hope you have a great one as well. Lots to be grateful and thankful for!
I always thought the atlantic was bigger!
