Postcard: Pretty cool restaurant menu

Photography from Northern Sweden by Lola Akinmade Åkerström

One of my favorite finds in Northern Sweden is a small restaurant close to Storforsen that serves only two items on their menu – reindeer and salmon – and even cooler is the rusty bicycle out front that shows their menu.

Having just signed up with Nordic Photos a few days ago, I’m now beginning to sort through thousands of photographs I’ve taken around Scandinavia to see which ones are worth selling through the agency. I also currently contribute photography through Sweden’s newly relaunched Image Bank and plan on sorting through thousands more photos from other countries for other agencies.

Lots of photo editing going on this autumn for sure…

  1. @Marina – Wow! I mean, wow. I’m trying to picture it in my head.

@Akila – Yeh, Northern Sweden is not too vegetarian friendly – moose, reindeer, other types of game…

  2. Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a restaurant menu like that. And not much choice for vegetarians there, I’d say!

  3. Love this! I was in a restaurant once where the menu was on a peice of wood over a chained raccon’s head selling illegal turtle eggs. Not exactly the best place to eat, but you would never see this anywhere in the normal world 🙂
