Latest News + Video: The Stockholm Edition

While I’m working on editing photos for Four Seasons as well as putting together summary posts from my time at MATKA and the Nordic Bloggers Experience (NBE) in Finland, I wanted to share a few work updates from this end.

Writing

I actually haven’t been actively pitching this month because I’m working on a few pieces that were already assigned and wanted to get some breathing room first before pitching like crazy which should resume mid February or so.

– Wrapped up the Stockholm Guide for AFAR which was fun to put together.

– Also completed some fact-checking work for the Swedish Institute (www.sweden.se) who I love working for and have an upcoming photo feature for Roads & Kingdoms.

– I’ve been busy with five (5) features for Visit Stockholm and was also honored to be invited to speak and present at StockholmsDagen (Stockholm Day). Luckily, my husband was there to record the presentation with his smartphone which you can view below in addition to the presentation which you can click through.

Interviews + Mentions

– I was interviewed/profiled by a Swedish newspaper in Gothenburg and I’ll share a link/copy to the article once it’s published sometime in March or so.

– Slow Travel Stockholm was selected as one of the best city blogs in the world by The Guardian. Needless to say, I’m stoked that my little baby launched last year is slowly gaining some traction.

– Also gave an audio interview with Side Street Convos about living one’s authentic self.

Photography

– It looks like I’ll still be editing photos till the end of the year (not complaining. Super grateful). I still have photos from Montenegro, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Turkey to edit, let alone start sharing stories from those experiences.

– I’ve also been nominated for “Bästa fotobloggen” (Swedish Travel Photography Blog Award) and would absolutely love your vote. While I’ve generally stayed clear of voting competitions since my North Pole bid, it would be really cool to get this one as I plan to launch a Swedish version of this site within the next 6-9 months.
