Postcard: Gone to Egypt

Currently typing aboard a classic wooden sailboat called La Vela anchored within open waters in the Red Sea. I’m traveling around Egypt this week to often more remote desert locations so internet access will be limited.

The photograph above is of our Bedouin drivers sitting atop a 2,000 year old well out in the middle of the desert….way out in the middle of nowhere.

  1. Wow – on a wooden sailboat – I wouldn’t mind to have my office on one of those 😉 That is truly a picture perfect photo! Amazing too, that the leaves are still so green on this tree in the desert. Happy travels!

  2. Lola – the colour in this shot is spectacular. I can only imagine how surreal it must be – blogging on a wooden sailbox. Enjoy your Egypt adventure and I’ll be looking forward to subsequent posts. Take care.
