I’ve been shuttling back and forth to Sweden since 2006 and in those five years, I’d never experienced Midsummer. It was never particularly high on my list due to its historical roots but I’d always remained curious. This year, I headed over to Farsta Gård on a whimsical invitation by a friend, and it couldn’t have been a better setup for a newbie to Midsummer festivities.
From a surprisingly diverse, electrifying, and energetic crowd to the largest picnic party ever, here are just a few snapshots from the event.

So much green! I really want to wear one of those leaf crowns!! Think i can pull that look off?
Lola, I like how you captured the festive event – especially the attention to detail with the holding hands & dancing feet.
@Filip – Thanks!
@Andrea – You should visit Sweden especially during summer.
@Bluegreen Kirk – Thanks! While it’s still relatively pricey, I think Sweden is a location people are truly missing out on.
@Oneika – Thank you ma’am 🙂
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos, Lola! What a fantastic experience.
