Photo of the day – One of my favorite portraits from Tirana. This boy is actually a street kid who was selling little packs of matches and some other little pocket-sized knickknacks. I really didn’t need any of what he was selling but I did notice he had a few small balls he was carrying. So we ended up playing a pickup game of street soccer for about ten minutes and he showed off his juggling skills.
By the time I left, he had the hugest grin and didn’t try to sell anything or get money from me. I felt like a thief, stealing time with and from him, which he was only glad to share. Kids just want to be kids the world over.

As part of National Photo Posting Month (#NaPhoPoMo), I’ll try to share a daily photo (postcard) for the month of November alongside my regular blog musings.
