Photo of the day – I met this guy, a vendor, at a fruit market in Belgrade and there was something about his eyes that told me he’d seen so many unspeakable things and had lived through some difficult times without saying a word.

I have always said that ones eyes are the windows to their soul. Some people are very expressive with their eyes that their eyes will say everything about their life, all the while, their voices are still and say nothing. This man could tell a thousand tales if someone took the time. Thanks Lola
That’s also one of the reasons I love portraits and people photography so much. It’s all about their eyes and that momentary connection and acknowledgement.
