Reindeer, sledding, and Sami culture (Lola Akinmade Akerstrom)
It feels like it was just last month I was in Lapland photographing the Northern Lights with Peter Rosén and reindeer sledding with Nutti Sámi Siida. While I’m currently working on filing stories and photo essays about the experience, I wanted to share one of many portraits I took of Nils Nutti above.

You can click on his photo for more options or view more photographs from Swedish Lapland in my image bank.

Have you been to Swedish Lapland? What did you think? Please share below.

I really enjoy seeing the different traditional costumes they are so colorful. And I always enjoy the pictures of the Northern lights. Thanks Lola

  • I’m not that familiar with Swedish Lapland, but absolutely LOVE the Finnish and Norwegian sides of the border. I look forward to the stories and photo essays to learn more!
