The sun was setting and casting golden light all across Bologna’s main square Piazza Maggiore and its historic buildings. I noticed the pigeons amidst the crowd of people basking in the last rays of sun. They – the pigeons – were circling and perching atop the Fountain of Neptune and its bronze-stone sculpture of Neptune himself – the Roman god of freshwater.
So I waited and waited…
While Iβm exploring the traditions and slow food in Emilia Romagna through BlogVille, Iβll be sharing some quick postcards and snippets to bring you along with me.

A very cool and dramatic picture! :O)
Thanks Monica!
