From thermal waters and rejuvenating spas to reconnecting with nature through mindful therapy and relaxing coastal hikes, I’ve spent some very relaxing time exploring the Costa Brava region of Spain and am currently in the middle of writing a new digital book called Wellbeing in Costa Brava in collaboration with the Costa Brava Tourism board.
For one, not many people know that between the Mediterranean Sea and the Girona Pyrenees, there are several towns and villages with lots of aquifers and mineral waters that provide medicinal healing – from Caldes de Malavella to Ribes de Freser.
I am extremely excited to be working on this project. I consider myself a natural ambassador for a region which always feels fresh and not as touristy as other parts of the country. Costa Brava means rugged coast and the hikes along its seascapes treat you to some spectacular panorama.

But back to wellbeing experiences!
As I put the book together, I will be sharing stories on my website in a new series called Wellbeing in Costa Brava including lots of imagery from the region as well as the video we’re currently working which was part of our #NordicTBinCostaBrava collaboration as well.
Here are articles which are part of my Wellbeing in Costa Brava series
- Macrobiotic gastronomy
- Mindfulness in nature through our senses
- Rustic retreats
- Spa and rejuvenation
- Yoga experiences
Below is just a preview of some of the galleries from spa hotels, yoga, healthy food experiences, rural tourism retreats, and nature therapies I have explored in the region and will be writing about in the book.
