“In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”
— Alfred Stieglitz
2018 was definitely a year of stupendous travels and memories so poignant that I feel blessed to have been able to capture as many of them as possible with my camera. I traversed the globe (four continents) and went on various assignments that took me to a wide span of countries covering different cultural subjects.
And coming back with thousands of photos, I often have my own personal favourites from those trips. Photos I personally respond to or which evoke a deep feeling that instantly transports me back. Many of these shots don’t make it into the magazine or publication I went on assignment for, but nonetheless, they bring me joy just looking back on them.
The set of photos below were created in California, China, Hong Kong, Latvia, Norway, Spain, Swedish Lapland, Switzerland, Tanzania, Norway, Uzbekistan, and Wales.
So, here are my own favourite photos of 2018. You can check out my full image bank for more photos.
