I’ve just realized that it’s been awhile since I’ve put together these (almost) quarterly posts that talk about what I’ve been up to, what I’m currently working on, and any upcoming projects and publications. I’m currently in Bern at Travel Classics Switzerland with a wonderful community of top travel writers and editors from major US-based travel and lifestyle publications.

Speaking Gigs and Conferences
Honored to be announced as the closing keynote speaker at the world’s largest conference for travel bloggers, TBEX, which will be held in Stockholm from July 14-16.
On June 18, I will be leading a travel photography workshop in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in collaboration with Emilia Romagna Tourism and will be focusing on travel portraits and everyday lifestyles including a photo walk. It’s going to be an exciting and fun experience I’m looking forward to.
On May 28, I will be speaking at the inaugural Better Bloggers Conference (BBCON) in Stockholm alongside my NordicTB co-founder Janicke Hansen. We will be talking about how to design and run successful blog campaigns on small budgets including practical tips.
Projects + Campaigns
I recently got back from the Lombardy region of Italy as part of their year-long #inLombardia365 campaign and you can check out some of the content I’ve been creating from that campaign here.
In June, I’ll be heading over to Ireland as part of their Ancient East campaign and will share more details closer to the date.
In Nordic TB news, we recently launched the #LifestylePolen campaign with Poland Tourism and the Pomorskie and Warsaw regional tourism boards. The collective is rolling along with more partnerships and campaigns in the pipeline.
Photography
Still backlogged with editing photos including from my recent trip to Grebbestad, Sweden, as well as Liechtenstein and then hundreds more I’m currently creating in Switzerland. So once I get back, it will be head-down for awhile editing and creating those galleries.
I have also created a ton more portraits from my Solbacka Intimacy Project series and it’s always a honor and privilege to be allowed into the lives of the refugees at the Solbacka integration center here in Sweden. You can view the latest photos here.
The project was recently profiled by American Photography Magazine here – PPD Spotlight: Swedish Migrants in the Now
