London Beckons

Big Ben, London

Looking forward to the Travellers’ Tales Festival in London this week; an excellent opportunity to network with fellow travel writers and photographers. The 3-day agenda seems quite mouthwatering. Friday’s lineup includes photography and writing programmes, creative tutorials, panel discussions with editors from the UK National press as well as networking opportunities. Saturday and Sunday will bring a variety of lectures and more goodies.

Will keep my nose to the ground for stories worth telling and will be on the lookout for those photographic moments. Finding unique angles and takes on one of the most photographed cities and sights in the world will be my challenge for this weekend.

Big Ben shot with Nikon D300. A high ISO gives it that pixelated “old school” feel by introducing a ton of noise.

  1. My fellow traveler in Bali resort hotel was a travel photographer and he too used a high ISO for early morning and twilight shots. I was amazed by the ‘painting like’ result.

  2. Sigh. I love London and would love to attend this event. I don’t travel during Chicago winters (been stranded too many times) so unless they change the month, I don’t think I’ll ever get the chance to go. I can’t wait to hear about your experiences so I can attend vicariously.

  3. Welcome to London. I’m sure you will find lots of interesting things and people to capture. Love my city 🙂

  4. The Travellers’ Tales Festival sounds like an amazing event. I hope to take part myself one year. Have fun!
