My philosophy on travel photography…
I had the pleasure of being interviewed in preparation for the Affordable Art Fair in Stockholm where I was one of the headlining artists represented by Galleri Duerr. Affordable Art Fair Stockholm was held at the brand new Nacka Strandsmässan venue and it brought together art lovers and over 50 local and international galleries exhibiting artists from around the world.
The video was shot by The Parlor which is an online magazine for fresh art and music in video format. They meet artists and creatives during studio visits, talks and acoustic sessions, and take you closer to their art and craft.
We met on an unusually beautiful Autumn day in one of my favourite islands in town – Djurgården – and talked about the role of the photographer, and the responsibility and openness it takes for a photographer to tell another person’s story.
I think this video sums up how I view environmental portraits of people I take during my travels.
Watch the short video and get inside my head as a travel photographer. You can learn more about my fine art photography as well as the Intimacy Portrait Project I referred to in the video.
