  • Everyone loves an underdog story and the mighty Blue Sharks from the mighty nation of Cabo Verde / Cape Verde gave Argentina an epic face-off. There have been so many stories about the grit and incredible persistence of Cabo Verde but the greatest lesson I learned as I watched them play was how they showed up. No fear. No hesitation. No doubting if they ever belonged on that pitch. They played like no one was watching. They played fully and completely up until the very last second. No down trodden shoulders. This incredible life lesson means to fully be yourself and give your all - whether you’re in front of one person or millions of people. This is the type of integrity that builds longevity, grit, persistence, and self confidence in any industry. To show up even when no one knows your name yet. There have been so many stories about the grit and incredible persistence of Cabo Verde but the greatest lesson I learned as I watched them play was how they showed up. No fear. No hesitation.
