  7. @Ify – Thanks! Again, all behind the scenes stuff.

@Andi – It was one of those moments that photos can’t really do justice to. Thanks!

@Terri – Thanks! “Made in America Black”…that’s a new one 😉 I love Nigeria. Obviously it’s my hometown but there’s a certain energy and vivaciousness to it that can only be experienced in person. It always leaves a deep mark. Hope you do visit once the opportunity comes along.

  8. This is a nice photo. In the past I’ve never been interested in going to Nigeria. But, in recent years I’ve had no less than 5 people approach me asking if I’m Nigerian. And, I’m like, “No. I’m a made in America Black.” I’ve also had my father’s DNA traced through African Ancestry and supposedly it’s traced back to Yoruba our of West Africa. So now…I want to go. 🙂

  9. This is such a lovely shot. Look at that face. And Globe Trekker?! Congrats!!

  13. Love this shot and the expression on the toddler’s face. Just precious. A perfect way to end my day looking at this.

  14. @Ekua – Thanks! No on-screen appearances. Just helped them with information, story ideas, and locales while on the ground in Lagos. All behind the scenes 😉

  15. Nice shot! And so cool that you were involved in an episode of Globe Trekker! Will you be making an appearance on the show?
