On a warm spring Sunday afternoon while in Hamburg, I headed out to the waterfront community of Blankenese, one of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods. A former fishing village located along the banks of the Elbe river, wealth is scribbled across the mansions that dot its landscape with magnolias and cherry blosssoms, their pearl necklaces.
While I gather and sort through photos and notes to bring you more, I’ll be sharing some quick postcards from my time exploring Hamburg and its suburbs as part of the#JoinGermanTradition campaign.
