This year, Passports with Purpose is teaming up with nonprofit organization Room to Read to raise $80,000 to build two libraries in Zambia, and I’ve teamed up with Beyond Boundaries Travel to provide an amazing biking tour through Thailand.
This morning, I received a text message from my husband while sitting in Swedish class: “Massive news, 8.9 earthquake in Japan, devastating tsunamis in the whole pacific. Unbelievable images of tsunami, never seen anything like it. Just horrible.”
My ultimate soft spot is and always will be supporting various humanitarian causes, and this year, Passports With Purpose (PWP) will be raising $50,000 to build a village in India.
There’s a water shortage. Again. Across the whole campus.
We know what this means – trekking down to the nearby village along the shores of the lagoon with our gray metal pails and plastic buckets…
