  • October 2022. A photo I thought I’d share in due time alongside the @deadline announcement. This photo is a reminder of the most incredible moment of my career as an author to date. The limited series adaptation rights for @ineverymirror and @naacp-nominated @notenough.book were bought by an amazing actress ❤️ and her production company, backed by a major studio in 2021-2022. Years later, the studio ended up not greenlighting our project. But what an incredible moment to witness my work transcend and connect so deeply across the ocean. I also learned a lot through the process. So I’m sharing this post with utmost gratitude, more wisdom, and renewed belief. Everyone who has ever reached out wishing for an adaptation can manifest it alongside me 🙏🏽 The IN EVERY MIRROR SHE’S BLACK duology and its universe are rapidly expanding with the addition of its novella series THE MEN. October 2022. A photo I thought I’d share in due time alongside the @deadline announcement. This photo is a reminder of the most incredible moment of my career as an author to date. The limited series adaptation rights for @ineverymirror and @naacp-nominated @notenough.book were bought by an amazing actress ❤️ and her production company, backed by a major studio in 2021-2022. Years later, the studio ended up not greenlighting our project. But what an incredible moment to witness my work transcend and connect so deeply across the ocean. I also learned a lot through the process. So I’m sharing this post with utmost gratitude, more wisdom, and renewed belief. Everyone who has ever reached out wishing for an adaptation can manifest it alongside me 🙏🏽 The IN EVERY MIRROR SHE’S BLACK duology and its universe are rapidly expanding with the addition of its novella series THE MEN. So screenwriting material for years ❤️ This means my #SpeakItReceiveIt affirmation for this week is to proactively and creatively bring both @bitterhoneybook and my duology universe to the big screen someday. 🙌🏾🌟 Because I already believe it.
