  • Dragging in a deep breath to anchor me, I dip my right foot in, slowly sliding down before drawing my other leg into the tub. The sensation is instant. Tiny sharp pricks racing across my skin as my body tries to regulate and protect itselt from the jarring shift in temperature. I close my eyes, a palm over my heart, focusing on my breaths under the expert guidance of Dr. Rob Williams, PhD (known as ”The Breath Doctor”) - @drrobwilliams Two minutes in an ice-cold plunge bath, steadying my breathing, reminded me that in a fast-paced dizzying world, I already hold power in stillness. Organizations such as @afrosvenskarnas_riksorg , @afrosvenska_forum_for_rattvisa, @afrosvenskhistorievecka, @blackarchivessweden, @southnord, @africa_nmwc_swe, and @etnografiska, among others, have events planned all month long in celebration and honour of those who have come before us and who continue to lift us up. On this end with ÅFRÖNỌ̀RDÍC and ÅFRÖSWÈ̩DÉ̩, we have some exciting upcoming announcements which we are eager to share, and which will continue to take this visual celebration globally and regionally.
