I’m super excited to share that the two photographs below have been shortlisted in the 2016 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year awards. Out of over 7,000 entries from 60 countries.
The overall winners will be selected independently by judges, but all the shortlisted photos are also on display for people’s choice votes as well here.
Shortlist 1 – Category – Food for The Family
This entry titled “Inside Maurizio and Rosella’s Terracota Life” captures a relaxed candid moment between the family. Rosella and Maurizio Camilletti-Reali are the only artisans keeping the tradition of terracotta piadina clay pans called “Teglie” alive in Emilia Romagna’s Montetiffi region, and I was honored to join them for an impromptu dinner.
Shortlist 2 – Category – The Philip Harben Award for Food in Action
The second shortlisted image called “The chef’s domain” is from upscale restaurant Restaurang Atelier located inside posh boutique Hotel Pigalle in Gothenburg, Sweden – where Chefs Johan Ackebo and Anna Bengtsson serve up exquisite food. You can view more photos from Sweden and especially Restaurang Atelier in my image bank.
You can view all the shortlisted photographs over on the official Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year site.
