“I’ve met Bono many times here,” Sarah shares as we dig into a lavish dinner of succulent braised pork, crispy fish and chips, “perfectly” poached salmon, and other fancy-named goodies.
Inspired by fellow writer and native gal Anna Brones’ recent Swedish Autumn blog post and long gone summer days, thought I’d share a few foodie shots of some of my favorite typical Swedish fare.

Arriving around 8pm at night, we boogied to some 80s tracks at a random happy-hour event we stumbled into before getting out of Palermo the very next day. This trip certainly wasn’t about museums, sightseeing, hitting Sicily’s famous beaches, or gluttonously gorging on pizza. It also wasn’t about getting off the “beaten path” so to say with a preplanned itinerary of activities in hand…
